Quail Ridge - the most arduous hunting area, for those who like the ultimate challenge in varied terrain. Gently rolling prairie grasses, hedge apple and fir trees, briar patches, creek bottoms, hills and fence lines; this zone has it all...if you can persevere! (Quail heaven!)
Grass Valley - serene prairie grass valley surrounded by tree lines on all sides. Perfect for a small secluded hunt or for those hunters who do not wish to use dogs and prefer 'walking' up their game birds.
Pheasant Run Overlook - a Milo covered valley bordered by a creek and fence lines, with the fourth side traversing to a brush and Milo covered plateau also bordered by fence lines. This zone is highly recommended for those who use flushing dogs, the birds love to run between the Milo and brushy areas, making for great 'jump' shooting as well as traditional point and flush shooting.
Swampy Hollow - prairie grasses, briars, tree lines, 'tule' marshes and a creek are in this zone. If you have ever hunted game birds in Oregon or California this area will seem like you're not in Ohio for a hunt. This zone is a premier Chukar and Quail release area.
Kansas Maize - Milo field bordered by fence lines on three sides and a lane on the fourth. A small 'island' of trees and brush in the zone is the perfect escape area for loose birds and almost always affords hunters a surprise or two.
Hoosier Hills - gently rolling Milo fields which converge on a steep tree and brush lined hill which drops to a smaller Milo patch, reminiscent of a hunt on an Indiana farm. If the birds reach the hill they will almost certainly try doubling back on the dogs and hunters, earning the hill the name of 'double-cross ridge'.
Iowa Flats - a small, Milo area bordered by fence lines and a lane. This zone is perfect for one or two hunters with young dogs in training or for those hunters who experience mobility problems. If a hunter has trouble with rough terrain or extended walks in the field this area is perfect, still providing excellent shooting as well as ease of movement.
Rooster Hill - a large Milo field bordered by tree lines and prairie grasses on three sides. This zone is quite large and will support up to a group of ten hunters in line with ease. For a 'driven' hunt with young shooters this zone is the optimum choice, hunters will never be out of sight or in difficult cover. (Ask us about 'Glory Corner')
Tower Valley - where the operation first began; a large valley bordered on three sides by a creek and a wooded elevation on the fourth. The valley contains Milo and brush patches in numerous varieties to give both hunters and their dogs the ultimate upland bird hunting experience.
Tower Shoot - birds are released off a 65 foot cliff and hunters have the option of taking the birds as they descend or hunting them up in Tower Valley after they have landed, plus picking up any stray birds or missed birds from the release point. The tower release provides all hunters with a fast-paced wing shooting scenario every time out.
In a tower shoot, hunters are in a fields and birds are released one at a time from a cliff. Birds fly through trees and across a creek. Price for tower shoots are $160.00 per person and include: 10 pheasants each and after the release each shooter is given 2 hours to hunt loose birds ( at no extra charge). We will customize each tower shoot to fit your needs. If your shooting party has atleast 4 shooters you can pick your date and time. If an individual would like to join a tower shoot, we will help organize a group and date for the shoot.

** Author's Note ** When asked by Tony Petry on many occasions which hunting zone is my favorite I am always forced to tell him "All of them!"
Once you have had the experience of upland bird hunting at Mulberry Pheasantry you will wholeheartedly agree with my viewpoint, I can virtually guarantee it.
